Surely the last thing we need is another Championship level English centre half? That's one thing we're very well covered in.

Think we only have the one Championship level centre half in Keane. Jagielka and Williams are probably League Two standard, while Holgate may get a start at a lower-end Premier League / top-end Championship team, and Mori would get into some Premier League sides. We should probably get a few good Premier League standard centre halves in like!

Last year people on here didn't want Harry Maguire because he wasn't good enough. You would have been laughed at if you suggested Johnny Evans before Man City expressed an interest and now suddenly he is wanted by the top clubs.
Fans do not have a clue.

Personally I still don't think Harry Maguire is good enough for what we were supposed to be aiming for. In hindsight he may have been better than Keane, but that's not saying a lot. Evans is, and always has been, a quality player. Again, not saying he's the absolute best but if anyone ever thought Ashley Williams was better than him they've not watched much football.

Harry McGuire is the most over rated centre back in the league, he is good at running with the ball and some reason has great balance despite having a massive head.
Watch every goal leicester concede and he is either busting a gut to get back because he has gone on a mad run forwards or he has been pulled so far out of position because he has been ball watching it is unbelievible
..we need real athleticism as the team lacks pace and power. I doubt Gibson would provide that and allow us to defend further up the pitch.

100% agree with this. He's absolute tosh who everyone thinks is great because he runs out of defence with the ball and doesn't get closed down because the opposition know he's gonna do naff all with the ball.
He`s also a bit fat too
Our squad wouldn't look out of place in the Championship.
