Do we know for sure it was his hamstring again? He went down after a tackle, could have sworn it was his ankle...

Regardless, I felt gutted for him, you could see how upset he was to have to come off.

Get well soon Mo, the fact that he was trusted to start means we at least know he's very much a part of Martinez' plans for the season.

Nah the commentators said about his ankle but deffo was his hamstring as he was holding it straight away when he went down

Yeah. He was definitely holding his hamstring. He was able to play on for a couple of minutes though so hopefully it's not a bad one.

that was the biggest worry for me though mate, playing on then breaking down could have made this a lot worse than it was, poor decision from the medical staff allowing him to try to run it off

It was a shame for Besic to get injured. He looked positive during the short cameo he had.

It did bring our hatrick hero on though, some would call it fate.

Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Gets injured playing for Everton, gets fit, travels round Europe with Bosnia, plays fine for Bosnia, comes back and gets jarged by some spanish clown who thinks hes a boss physio cos he done a course once.

SOLO DE NO CLUE
Is this the Same Spanish Clown who plucked him from obscurity and has given him a chance to play in the top league in the world

Your comments for me give you the crown of the 'GOT Clown'

Obviously it all turned out okay (just a bit!) but you're right, I was gutted when he went down, he looked extremely lively and confident before that.

Tbh would you like to try to tell Besic that he can't do something he clearly wants to do ? :p

@4737carlin haven't heard what the scans revealed but sounds slightly more hopeful than it initially looked.

Roberto Martinez expects to learn more about the injuries sustained by Seamus Coleman and Muhamed Besic against Chelsea later on Tuesday, with the pair set to undergo scans on their respective problems. The duo both limped off during the 3-1 win over the champions - Besic after just nine minutes and Coleman late into the second half. Martinez says it is still too soon to know whether either player will be available for Saturday's trip to Swansea City but is hopeful of positive news.

"Forty-eight hours after the game, we're quite positive in the way Mo and Seamus feel," the Blues boss told evertontv. "I think Seamus felt a lot better than Mo [immediately after the game] but we're going to get the scans done today so we have a clear idea. "I don't think it looks as bad as we feared once it happened but we'll get more information as the week goes on and we'll see how long a period we're looking at for the two players.

I like the kid. He could be this generation's Tommy Gravesen

Gravesen, decent footballer but not quite the hard man he fancied himself as. Besic doesn't need the theatrics, he's clearly robust bloke who doesn't need fist waving to impose himself, just hope he can keep improving football wise, I think he could be class.

Gravesen was good but a liability at times. Lee Carsley must have shed about two stone while TG was here running all over the shop putting out fires where he was supposed to be.
