We will see what type of manager Martinez is when McCarthy comes back into the fold. Does he go straight back in??? Besic doesn't deserve to be dropped but then again neither did Robles last season.

Boy has been a breath of fresh air recently.

So if Besic keeps his place, McCarthy becomes a bit part player due to an injury? I am of the belief you do not lose your place from injury...you only lose it due to performance.

I love McCarthy but I wouldn't agree with him coming straight back in, Besic wouldn't deserve to lose his place now due to his performances, Howard certainly didn't regain his place last year because of his performances.

Tough call to make for Martinez, I just think it would send out all the wrong signals.

I think it sends the wrong signal that if you suffer an injury you have to earn your place back.

If fully fit the player was first choice for a reason.

Let McCarthy get fully fit, come in as a sub once or twice and then find a suitable rotation. Who knows when McCarthy will be back or what will happen I'm the future. With inuries, illnesses and other factors Martinez might not have to make a decision.

These are the kind of tough calls we have been lacking in recent years.

Another tough call would be who to leave out to move Stones back to central defence.

Jags and Funes Mori looked a lot more solid tonight than any combination of one of them and Stones have looked.

:)

Have to admit I didn't think it would happen for him here (mostly due to the nagging injuries), but he's been immense. He's a joy to watch.

That one is not a tough call IMO...Stones on the bench. Form earned...he needs a timeout.

Thanks to Martinez you can see him developing and he's lucky to be next to Barry in the middle so he can be coached through games.

His naivety could be exposed against Chelsea and I don't think he has the temprement for the second leg so we need to take him out of the team again now for a while and allow him to develop.

Who's got a crush? Pass me a note, lad and I'll make sure Mo gets it by the end of the day.

You're such a sap.
