Played very well today, made some boss tackles, did most of the simple things well
Also lost the ball a few times in silly areas so, err, he's not the finished article.

As well as being utterly boss in everything he did I also thought he showed great energy tonight, last few games ive thought he lacked a little bit of fitness and started tiring at the end, but he was still going till the end tonight.

My God I love him so much, spent most of the 90minutes tonight watching him glide around the pitch like a young Pele.

Tonight I thought was his best game for us and he's starting to show his true ability after the nightmare against Chelsea - I hate to say it, but I think Barry's suspension was a blessing, especially as he has been our worst player over the past 2/3 games.

I look forward to seeing Besic alonsgside Jimmy Mac (of the Carthy variety, not the Fadden). Given his age I think Barry is best used as an impact sub as he can come on and calm things down with his experience. If fit, he is an able deputy if Besic is on a yellow and we have a vital game coming up.

Great performance, his best in blue shirt, more to come, without a doubt! Can't wait to see him playing alongside McCarthy, although I think he plays better when he's playing alongside offensive type player like Barkley, or Pjanic in national team

A few issues to iron out, but has the potential to be a fantastic bargain for us. Him and McCarthy in a few seasons time are what dreams are made of. His tenacity and hunger for the ball tonight were second to none. His defensive display was great; his tackling was on form - a council estate version of Barry.
