i think the point is hes not too bothered about finding another club until june, until then he can get paid 40k a week or whatever hes on for sitting in his underpants all day watching homes under the hammer etc

Not a single person on here wouldn't do the same.

Most would do the same but not all. Eventually some players want to play. They are already set for life, and I doubt earning say 20k p/week rather than 40k actually makes much difference. Either way, you're absolutely set and would struggle to actually spend that sort of money.

Football ain't real life though, I get that. I don't think I'll ever have to worry about the difference between 20 or 40 grand a week in my pocket haha lol

It works out at about 1million pounds mate, ain't nobody passing up on 1m quid.

You say they are set for life, but they don't live their lives the way we do and next year he will be probably earn less than 10k a week, then in 3 or 4 years he will be earning ZERO quid a week.

Its a very short career, so if some mug club is gonna pay me 40k a week to sit at home, I'm taking the 40k a week.

Fact is those who know they aren’t getting a game here will want to move whether on loan or perm, for their career sake. Except about one or two.
