its howard for me personally i think he is poor at his near post gets beat a little too often there for my liking.......

but other than that he is a player who isnt at the top of his game at the mo and is playin in a team where there is at least 5/6 players who really arent playing well so from our strikers back he is the lad thats has to deal with that pressure

yes he has came for balls and messed them up but his exp. is seeing him through i wouldnt change him unless it got really bad

Mucha has a more interesting name, this is why I voted for him and also to annoy all the americans on here.

Mucha is pronounced "muha", with a clear H sound as in "Help". Means "Fly" in slavic, as in house fly.

He does not play for the reserves, who usually have Iain Turner or Adam Davies in goal. He's played for the ressies once, first game of the season 23/8 against Chelsea. Game ended 1-1, OS states in a small sentence something like "Mucha kept Everton in the game during the final stages with top quality goalkeeping"

Well that's a daft not playing in the reserves how is he going to get anywhere near match fit if he's not getting a game?

Good question i'd bet, but in terms of match fitness and adaptation to leagues i guess it's not as big a factor as for an outfield player. The goalie's movement is reduced to decision making on rushing out and cross-catching. I'd imagine the most important part of Mucha's adaptation would be adjusting to Moyes' defensive philosophy and the ability of dictating and reading the movement of our back four, and even then that's a smaller part of how he plays, which is only about one thing; keeping the goal clean.

if i were howard after reading this thread i would **** off to arsenal or another league as soon as i saw this thread

if you really think howard should be dropped right now you have to be delusional, he's made some errors but has certainly earned us more points than he's cost us

the man breaks big nev's record and we still won't give him his due credit. our defenders have been making shocking errors but of course those goals are howard's fault right. he obviously doesn't deal with crosses that well, but in numerical terms i don't think this deficiency has cost us as much as you'd think (Neiler i know you're keeping track so please enlighten us). he's improved tremendously in terms of distribution (world cup assist?) and he's blue through and through.

i can only feel for him given the lack of confidence you've all shown for him. how many of you thought wessels should start? nash? turner? and could you please remind me how that worked out?

mucha has had one game against lower league opposition, he kept a clean sheet right? oh wait...

our strikers can barely get a touch let alone score, in certain games our midfield has barely been able to string a few passes together, and you're worried about our goalkeeping? get a grip

So roughly half the voters in this thread are delusional?

Mate Howard hasn't kept a clean sheet in 7 games and West Brom put 4 past him. Btw, Mucha saved a peno in the second half to keep us in that particular tie.
