I've noticed an increase in sweeping condemning statements on here claiming that Moyes wouldn't get the money from any player sale to reinvest back into the squad.

Comments like;

"If we sold Baines, Moyes would get half at best to spend in the market"

What's brought all this on? Hasn't Moyes always been given the money he's received to reinvest?

Not a 100% but he's been given money from player sales anyway.

I think it's in the expectation of some that SOME player sales will be used to pay down debt

- due to Kenwright et al's inability to increase turnover (Stadium etc)

PS. I've not made the sweeping statements. I'm a true EBEPTONIAN.

Micknick's a tit.

I don't get it myself, in the past every time players have been sold that money has been reinvested in the squad, the same has been said about this transfer window, just don't get it

It seems to be just guesses based on the fact that our debt keeps growing and a business-minded person would realize that we need to pay down the debt with some of the money from sales. We weren't allowed to spend the £3 million from Pienaar in January either. (Correction. We didn't spend it, we don't know if BK refused Moyes that money).

However, BK has demonstrated that he isn't a business-minded person so he'll probably allow Moyes to spend the majority, if not all of it.

The amount of negative comments whether at the board, Moyes or the players have put me into a corner a bit.

There is a certain clique that enjoy banging on about twhat the board haven't done at any opportunity and it to be honest, it's boring.

It's great stuff, turns people complealy away from their opinions! I'm all for investment and fresh ideas, but the demonisation of the board by a few is hilarious, lacking in fact and analysis and really turns people of thief praticlar point of view!

I think this is not understanding the actual reason people dislike our board.

It's not that he'll get the money; it's just that the money will be claimed as investment from the board. Like when we "broke our transfer record fee" on Fellaini and Yakubu etc., which were in actual fact recycled funds from sales.

The board haven't invested anything in the playing squad at all since the mid-90's. Nearly two decades of treading financial waters and people wonder why people get frustrated.
