"Moyes wouldn't get it to spend"

The amount of negative comments whether at the board, Moyes or the players have put me into a corner a bit.

There is a certain clique that enjoy banging on about twhat the board haven't done at any opportunity and it to be honest, it's boring.

It's great stuff, turns people complealy away from their opinions! I'm all for investment and fresh ideas, but the demonisation of the board by a few is hilarious, lacking in fact and analysis and really turns people of thief praticlar point of view!

:lol:

Desperate.

I've noticed an increase in sweeping condemning statements on here claiming that Moyes wouldn't get the money from any player sale to reinvest back into the squad.

Comments like;

"If we sold Baines, Moyes would get half at best to spend in the market"

What's brought all this on? Hasn't Moyes always been given the money he's received to reinvest?

The thing is, you can make the figures stack up to say Moyes over the course of his tenure has seen £X go out and spent £X bringing players in. But we have to look at what's been happening in the last few transfer windows to arrive at a conclusion as to whether Moyes will see the cash (all the cash) generated from sales this window. And on that basis the conclusion is a firm 'no' he wont get all the money to reinvest.

Would like to know what happened to the McFadden, Beattie, AJ money (close to £20m) but I have a feeling that may have gone on Fellaini. I hope.

Yes - Lets....

Pretty sure he reinvested all the Lescott money?

Didn't Elstone say the record sponsorship deal we recently signed would go to helping Moyes compete this summer? The Pienaar money has also not been reinvested. We should have some leeway in the Market before selling off our crown jewels but whether that's still the case will become evident soon enough.
