He took a relegation contender club in us and made us a top 7 club. He has just taken a top half consistent team- normally a top 7 or 8 club. Imagine what he will do what the over the years- top 4.

Nope. He has to beat out Valencia, Barca, Real Madrid, Atl. Madrid, Bilbao, Sevilla and anyone else who makes a mad run.

He'll get them 7th-8th and be bombed out after a few year when he gets too big for his own boots.

The top 6 in spain is almost as consistent as in England.

It's normally Valencia, Barca, Villarreal, Real Madrid, Atl. Madrid and Sevilla however I think Moyes could get them up to 7th and they he would hit the glass ceiling. I wonder at that point would Sociedad get rid like perhaps we should have.

Not entirely true mate.

Where the teams you mentioned are what you consider to be the top 6, the likes of sociedad and bilbao have turned up and upset the apple cart so to speak. In my recent memory socedad have ran for the title, been relegated and played champions league football in the past 15 or less years.

I think the issue in spain is not predictable teams but only those clubs are stable to a fair extent. Other teams perhaps can gamble for the success and then cannot maintain it for long and so drop out again which keeps the likes of valencia stumbling along every year.

Perhaps however Valencia have just been bought by a billionaire so I don't think they'll be going anywhere.

Every time I look at La Liga table it looks like those 6 teams are at the top. Now and again a team breaks through for a season like Southampton this year but generally those 6 are at the top.

I don't however remember Sociedad running for the title. In the last 10 years Real or Barca have won it easily. Only last year with the amazing performance of A Madrid where they able to win it. A performance that even the Barca fans applauded in the Neu Camp because they knew they witnesses something special. It would be like Arsenal winning the title :celebrate:

Yeah i agree on that, but my point was that ther eis bigger scope for teams to get reletive success in the league when they get a good coach with a good team together. the bottom half of the league is terrible sure, but where you already know Southampton aren't finishing 4th and arsenal moved the goal posts for 4th last season from us, there is much more oppurtunity to break the glass ceiling in Spain.

Also Valencia have always been up there despite their previous money troubles and fire sales of players. They have that to their credit to be fair.

Moyes treading water in the sun. Makes a change from treading water in the rain over here, I suppose.

A nothing manager. His career = the triumph of low expectations over talent and achievement.
