I hope Moyes does a good job over there, and I think he will. I know a lot of people are unhappy at how he left Goodison but to say he done a crap job is ridiculous!

I think he gets a raw deal from the media and the Man Utd players like Ferdinand, Vidic etc didn't help with their sh!te attitude! He should have got rid of all that lot really and started from scratch like LVG has!

they didnt have a [Poor language removed] atitude, far beyond it. they had a winning atitude, they had years of success and they knew how to play against other teams

so when mr moonshine walks in as the new boss and starts telling the team how not to lose, a couple of months after they were the BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY no less i'd be a little bit like WTF as well as them. I said it would happen at the start of the reign about the players not playing for him because they knew better and rio came out and confimed it as well.

Point is Moyes wasnt a winner and it was that atitude as to why he was never going to last long in the job.

Moyes could hardly walk in and say 'Alright lads, carry on as you were, pretend I'm not here'. Ferguson was gone, Moyes was the new manager and he would have to do it his way, and the players would need to get onboard. Ferdinand was the worst of them all, he was clearly past it, yet made a right stink about Moyes' methods.

Well it shouldve been up to moyes to show a set of bollocks and take control, instead he [Poor language removed] it and lost the dressing room.

He has to many flaws to be a top manager but he can find a highish level, think he'll fail in spain but settle down with an english side

True, that's fair, though you might hope that being personally appointed by Ferguson, the players might be prepared to accept any new manager will not be Fergie Mk II and they would need to accept a change in style. Seemed like they were out to get him from day one.

but what i mean is what he brought to the job was everything you dont bring to the league champions. They are meant to be the top dogs yet they are being told to be careful about the other team and learn how to defend against them for 90 minutes compared to how they were going to win the game.

Perhaps. I rather feel they were a rather poor side dragged along by the enormous influence of Fergie. Strip him out of the equation and you've got a very ropey squad who absolutely need to be told that they aren't much cop.

LVG has been able to paper over this by spending massively. Moyes was not afforded this luxury for some reason (I know he had a rep for dithering but surely Utd's purse is much larger and he should not need to dither - which suggests the cash was not actually there).

That will be a big mystery as to why moyes didnt strenghen when he had the chance. And the players he chose, Fellaini was going there with or without moyes and mata struck of a desperate signing to say the least.

but you spend 11 years signing bargain players, you surely dont have a clue who a top one for your team is in the space of a month. I think so anyway.

Well it seems like they now just go for the approach of 'XYZ is so good lets get him in, it'll work out'. Perhaps Moyes, given time, might have identified players that really would fit into the team. We'll never know.

Rio is a big diddy anyway! Been over-rated all his career, he can't consider himself too good for anybody the big clown!

In hindsight Moist's main error was jibbing off all the United backroom staff, though the way in which Fellaini was bought was also laughable.

Yeah he made mistakes for sure and I agree that the Man Utd job was too big for him, some of the senior players didn't help tho! I refuse to accept that players being paid hundreds of thousands each week can't knuckle down and get on with it, pathetic! Wayne Rooney, to be fair, worked his socks off, but the rest of the senior players should hang their heads in shame!

2-0 to Sociedad by the way, Moyes looking good for home debut win!
