Moyes Though ?

I was not a great Moyes supporter and never wanted him (or Martinez) as our manager, but given our current position do you think Moyes with the same squad we have do a better job than Martinez? That is to say halt the pathetic goals we are leaking but still playing some of the positive stuff we have been doing.

And if not who?

West Brom 0-4
Aston Villa 0-4
Bolton Wanderers 0-4
Manchester City 1-5
Arsenal 0-7 (Seven)
Arsenal 1-6
Wigan 0-3
West Brom 1-4
Blackburn 1-4
Dinamo Bucharest 1-5
Benfica 0-5

Lets get one thing straight about Moyes if we are going to be fair. We suffered some disgraceful batterings under him. I wanted him sacked after the 7-0. Everton dont lose by 7.

If Moyes was to come back the way he left us and treated as afterwards coupled with the "knife to a gun fight attitude" i would probably just pack it all in.

My thoughts exactly.

I wanted him gone for a reason.

At least when Chelsea put 6 past us under Martinez, at least we scored 3 ourselves

Being around you would be interesting times if that were to happen!

I honestly think we wouldn't see you for a few years, such would be your level of disgust
I would struggle massively to support Moyes.

Doesn't bear thinking about.

Id rather keep Martinez than have that fella back.

What does the skew the stats some what is that those results were spread out over a 10 year period

They really were few and far between

That being said, I wouldn't want Moyes back. That ship has sailed

Can't agree with the last comment to be fair as at least Moyes gave us in the mainstay a level of consistency which is higher than Roberto's.

Still, I'm really uncomfortable with the idea of having Moyes back for numerous reasons yet primarily because we're past him and his style now.

No discredit to Moyes as I had (and still do) have a lot of respect for the job he did here, but it was just too reserved. It was too rigid.

We'd all certainly like some of his defence coaching right now, however our increasing attacking ability would ultimately be shackled.

He met a glass ceiling and whether he had more money or not I still think it would in some form be there, as if simply sitting back in the fold.

We need a balance of the attacking prowess we've shown with some responsibilities with regards to defence and I don't think we'd get it with him.

Add to that the relationship between him and the fans would certainly not be as strong as it was in the past. No from me sorry...
