Moyes Though ?

ive hardly proclaimed him the new messiah by quoting his name
you put him forward as someone better than Martinez based on little evidence.
Every season there's a manager like this who's proclaimed as the next big thing usually they get relegated the season after, or move to a bigger club and fail. Some would argue that Bobby is a manger of this type.

Moyes would never in a million years have built this squad so impossible to say mate.

Moyes bought half the squad we currently have. He also brought Yakubu, Arteta, Cahill, Lescott, Fellaini, Baines, Coleman, Jagielka and Stones to the club. I don't agree with this notion that Martinez has a special quality that allows him to attract better players than other managers. Moyes brought in just as good players with a lesser budget, and I still absolutely maintain that our 07/08 squad and maybe the 08/09 squad was better than what we currently have.

I think Stones would have been gradually eased in via defence midfield, Moyes liked to introduce young players in slightly less risky positions, he did have an eye for signing players that were unknown to most of us though so could have been an interesting few summers with the tv revenue, we would prob still have Fellaini in the number 10 role, and Big Vic still furiously pounding the turf with his fists.

Oh

Let's get him back then.

Everyone is cry arseing about Bobby but not one person on here has yet come up with a viable, realistic replacement. I asked yesterday whether Brendan Rodgers would be an option.... thread was immediately shut down. I understand why ... to a point.... but at least it was a reasonable, realistic ( in a "he's available" way ) , option. Somebody please give me another option ??? Moyes ??? been there done that.

Lucien Favre
Viable - Out of work
Realistic - Works well on a budget, fantastic with young players
Reasonable - Happy to work on 'projects'

See below article, Monchengladbach supporter thinks he'll be perfect for Everton.

I don't agree that we should have him back. But I also don't agree that Bobby Martinez has worked some kind of miracle just because he brought a young Lukaku and a young Deulofeu to Everton Football Club. Everton have been buying top quality players for years, and other than the aforementioned two star players, Martinez' signings have been nothing to write home about. Our first choice back five are still all Moyes' players.

I actually read all that. Not sure why, maybe because i'd never heard of him, anyway, it's a very well written article, but this line scared me:

His time at Hertha BSC was overall a success. Despite being sacked in September 2009

Anyway, i'd bet a lot of money nobody at Everton has ever heard of him!

Not sure I stated anywhere that Martinez was a miracle worker. That would be mental you see?
