Moyes Though ?

No way would I want Moyes back.

Would he do better with this squad than Martinez? I honestly don't believe so. He may have us conceding less but we certainly wouldn't be scoring as many. With Moyes at the helm I reckon we'd still be around where we are now but not having gotten as far in the League cup.
Regardless of how many goals we are scoring it is not winning us matches
We need to stop conceding, no sign of that happening atm

Would Moyes have Everton higher in the table?

Yes, almost certainly. He got far poorer squads much higher in the league.

We'd be scoring fewer goals, but conceding far fewer too, and winning more points because of it.

Would we have so many attractive ball playing players? Almost certainly not. He believed that defence starts from the front and that every player has to work. This pragmatism is why we were so consistent.

Moyes did a good job over giving us stability after some dire times, but over stayed his welcome by about 4 years.

If martinez could incorporate the dogged attitude and discipline in our defensive approach he'd be a success and go onto great things.

Even pep as his team drilled defensively, as discussed by Henry the other week on sky

People forget that Moyes took us as far in Europe AND a FA cup final when the prem was bar far more difficult to compete in against the sky 5. Don't want him back- as it never works out, but some of you guys have got a short memory or a real misunderstanding of what the outcome of a match is- to achieve 3 points. Any of Moyes squads would be challenging top 4 this year. Particularly if he was given 28 mill to get a striker.

I'd give this all a 'maybe' mate.

My main worry would be who Moyes would have got with the £28m!! Remember he turned down Wilfried Bony on loan!

And he did want Negredo :D But he also wanted Hazard, cech, Essien, waaaaay before they were household names. He did everything in a very strict budget and I don't think flair players would like his coaching.

1/2 the players we watch would be out on loan elsewhere then back to the u21's before moving to get a game, and as said The Dour One wouldnt even have signed half of them.

He doesn't even put 2 quid on the lottery cos it's safer in a low interest account.

I think Moyes would do the same or better with this squad. But I don't think we would have this squad under Moyes, I don't think; Funes Mori, Besic, Barry, McCarthy, Delafeou, Lennon and Lukaku would have signed for Moyes and I don't think, Stones, Galloway, Barkley, etc would have been given a chance in the first team under Moyes, the way they have under Martinez.

If Martinez goes, I wouldn't want Moyes back, not at this stage anyway.
