Really hoping the journos are getting it wrong as usual, because we will decline rapidly with an internal appointment.

As far as I'm aware and have been made aware, there has been zero approaches to anyone outside Everton. They've pretty much let a week elapse allowing the media to help them out putting forward names implying we're going for them and the managerial search is a serious one. They'll give it a few days more to allow Martinez to rule himself out and then make an internal appointment, imo. A cynical manipulation of the media to pull the wool over their own supporters eyes...that's what's Champions League class about our board. They are the industry leaders as con artists.

There's been contact made between Everton and Pereira, that's been established mate. Multiple very good sources in the media, including the local media. Doesn't mean he'll be interviewed, or he's in for it, or whatever.

Ask yourself why the club did a full page preview of who Pereira was last week. They haven't done that for any other external candidate. This is the Echo, who are the club's propaganda tool.

The same paper that has outright told me that they won't cover any of the fans dismay about the new badge until the club officially announce it, as they don't want to alienate the club. I was specifically told this by an Echo journo.
