Moyes: "maybe the supporters don't know and expect more"

just look at the results of the poll -
either Moyes has to go or Everton has a majority of very stupid fans -
easy as that - make your pick

Most people now accept that Moyes isn't the man we would want in order to continue moving forward but we are prepared to soldier on with him now knowing full well that life is going to be like one long hard groundhog day. Has it really come to this ?

Lol about 20 vocal people on a forum are not most people. I chose the Moyes was wrong option in this case and as most people who post on here will tell you, I am very much a Moyes fan. The 2 options in the poll are very very directed to the point there is really only one option.
And in terms of how has it come to this? Yes, but is that the manager or the owners fault? If Moyes had 100mil to spend, would you expect the same seaon or improvement?

94 is a bit more than 20.

The law of averages is very reliable (as can be proven by how this poll's "no" option has consistently stayed at around 70%). We can use this poll to deduce that about 70% of Everton supporters feel Moyes was wrong in his statement, and that he fails to understand why there has been misgivings over his management lately.

A quick google search of other forums and comment sections on news-sites reveal a similar consensus.

Selection bias. Forums discussing a product generally produce more extreme views than are common among all the consumers because only the opinionated look for a forum to post on. Sales teams and marketers have long since stopped using them to judge reactions.

Plus there's an excluded middle of people like ihaters who think Moyes is the best choice overall but wrong on this particular subject.

Not to mention 94 is far too small a number for you to assume it represents 100,000s of people views perfectly.

This poll does not in any way proof that "now accept that Moyes isn't the man we would want in order to continue moving forward" which is what badwool says it does. For a start the poll doesn't even ask is moyes the man you want to continue us moving forward.

This forum represents very few evertonian's in reality.

An actual poll dedicated to who wants moyes to stay or go aimed at our full fan base of forum users, match going suporters, armchair fans ect.. Would IMO overwhelmingly support the notion for him to stay!

You only have to see bill getting clapped at games to see the forum does not represent the overall view of EFC.

No offence GOT!! Ha..

Like I said selection bias. If you post on a forum, you're likely to be more aware of the behind the scene details and you're more likely to not be happy.

If you just turn up, watch the game and are reasonably happy with what you see, you wouldn't have the desire to look for a forum to rant at.

ive never thought about it like that but it makes perfect sense

That's not what the poll is asking though, is it?

In the next week, we'll have more Evertonians visit this website that those that visit Goodison over the course of the season.

Forums possibly attract a certain mindset, but that doesn't devalue the opinion.
