Dont get me wrong, he's sound but its starting to bother me a tad. Just put the soccer in the net more than the others and do some stepovers and [Poor language removed]. Is what he should be saying to the team.

Hmm, he's quickly making Pip appear to be the shy, retiring type. I wouldn't mind so much if he actually said anything that had some interesting content. But it appears that the boss has started to enjoy seeing his word in print a little too much.

He has been miffed most of the season. I must say it surprised the heck out of me he signed recently. I have to think one of two things have been concluded either a investor is imminent that won't rock the boat or the new stadium is a done deal or both. I actually have reason to be positive at the moment. But Chico your right quit talking to the press and lets our actions speak for themselves.(y)
 

We all know the game its never good when your manager and a praticularly good one, is sounding as if hes frustrated and has hit the glass ceiling in the press!

Trying to think what he gains from this. On the one hand he could be trying to persuade Wenger that we're poop, in dreadful form etc. and to take us lightly. But seeing as it's in a local paper I doubt they'll even read it, much less take any notice of it.

On the other hand perhaps the boys are getting complacent and needed a kick up the booty. Hard to say if that's the case.

They're the only real reasons I can think for him doing this. I can't imagine its trumpet blowing.

Well maybe its a shop window thing, the more Everton are in the press, the more we appear a bigger club. Maybe its a cunning marketing tool. I wish people would get off his back tbh, he cant win atm.

Hes signed the contract and hes trying to attract investment with his constant paper talk, he hates the press as much as us and im sure he doesnt want to talk to them. Its all about getting the name Everton round the world.

Would you buy a club that never made the news?

Thats my view anyway. :D
 
Fair play homes, I didnt mean to get on his freckled back - just that he's doing me head in with all these rallying cries and soundbytes.

He's brewstered now so he needs to earn it, starting with keeping schtum and getting at least a point tomorrow.
 
To be fair lads, he isn't organising the press conferences himself.

It was the usual pre match conference. Just the media have been more interested lately because of the contract.
