Moyes knows his time with Everton is up

He's in a terrible position now - one of his own making (if he hasn't already sorted himself out a move, that is). I cant see any club thought to be 'bigger' than us taking a chance on him; and if he re-signs with us not only will people suspiciously eye it as him accepting second best, but the time he's allowed for this to fester has also allowed supporters to build up hopes for managers who could come in and do a better job, and there'll be disappointment if he does renew. In short, he's destabilised his own standing at the club. I do still think he'll be manager for the next few years though.

This is what annoys me most about all of this.

Moyes has de-stabilised the club, demoralised the team, pissed off the fans and brought what looked like being an exciting run in to the season to a juddering halt.

Because of this contract business.

And we know he will still be in charge when the new season starts.

Because he has the best. most secure, most pressure free job in the world and he is too smart to walk away from it and not good enough to be headhunted by a "bigger" club.

Moyes's hubris has been the downfall of our season.

Moyes 4 Stoke. Absolutlely perfect for each other.

1) The Stoke fans are sick of Pulis' anti-football. Moyes would seem like a tactical genius.
2) He'd have another cushy number as they are the kind of club who stick by their managers so long as the deliver 'success' or stability. Moyes likes a safe job.
3) The Stoke board would give him money to spend. More than Everton can. Not sure about his wages mind, but their Chairman would probably find it with some other betting related scam, I mean nocel betting product
4) The fans would love just missing out on Europe / Cups / beating the big boys - they revel in the plucky underdogs tag

MOYES 4 STOKE!

Funny thing is.....I am pretty sure that is what Stoke fans are saying about us....Pulis for Everton!

3 and 4 are certainly not relevant to Everton.

3: Everton wouldn't give Pullis money to spend, not in relation to what Stoke did anyway.
4: Just missing out on Europe or reaching FA cup semis is not good enough for many of us, hence why we want change.

If I were Bill I'd offer him a new contract only on much less than he's on now with merit payments built in, position in the league.... cups won etc, so he could earn more but only if we perform. Maybe he will start picking teams to win not just to not lose. If he leaves we will know it was never about the club just his pay packet.

I'm not advocating sacking Moyes by the way, just saying there's not much reason for us to offer him another huge contract.

Absolutely spot on here.
There is no way on this earth that Kenwright will sack Moyes.
What I fail to understand is that if Moyes decides to go - and it is clear for all to see that he is being allowed to make his own decision without any pressure from the board - then we as fans and supporters will have had no input whatsoever into the decision making process.
So why are the IMWT 'brigade' so agressive in constantly warning the MOB 'brigade' about being careful what we wish for?
The FACT is none of us will have any choice but to hang our hopes on a new Manager as Moyes will have 'done a runner'

The tragedy is that we can almost see this happening! God help us.

Bring back Royle.

I remember when David moyes,he said at the time he wanted to be a young manager, with a young team
Playing fast attractive football. He started with Fulham, high temp ,even the ball boys returning the ball
Back quickly,all high tempo,that was nearly 11years back,what happened ? It's all gone stale
Time for a change, go back to the q/f v Wigan,it all goes pear shaped and what does he do ? He goes
And sits down sulking, and that's leadership ?? moyes out ASAP
