Moyes: "I can't afford to buy this January... I will be relying on loan deals"

I have a sneeking suspicion Moyes has a signing up his sleeve. We know we have enough money for one loan at least with Vadis falling through in Mid Sept.

Can't see us keeping hold of everyone, I just hope its Heitinga or Anichebe who leave.

:o Anichebe??? He's our most in form striker at the moment.

Well, I guess that would depend if we're just going on statistics or the actual in-game form.
I'd still say Jelavic has done well the last 9 games even if he doesn't have a statistical record to show from it.
He has been available for the last 9 games which I think you'll find is a requirement with only 3 strikers on the books.

Big Vic has done well, looks hungry after being back again, so I'd not like to see him go but I'd still rather have Jelavic in the team than Vic.

I'd disagree with Jelavic doing well over the last 9 games. Think Vic has also contributed more in the last 3 games than Jelavic to be honest. Without his goals he doesn't offer us a lot.

Because that's the only way he can buy players? There again as pointed out he probably won't get the full funds anyway so maybe he's right.

A matter of taste I guess. I still think with Jelavic's record he's been picking up a lot more attention from defenders this year, coupled with not really clicking for that final touch. He does work hard though, and Chelsea was a leap forward in terms of getting on the end of chances.

Vic's played well for 3 games, but don't think he was better than Jelavic against Chelsea. He needs to keep putting in consistent performances which has been his problem in the past.

I am not that positive about the rumours that have Heitinga leaving. Who will be a decent backup in our defence after that? I have never seen Duffy playing , but I think we need someone more experienced... I like Johnny's play and he can be played in other positions too. So why not keep him and give him some chances ? I think moyes doesn't really trust him. But is he the best player technically that has a defensive role in our club or not ?

I don't blame Moyes for anything that has to do with our transfer policies. It's all Kenwrong's fault . Moyes will surely try to get the best out of these loan deals he's allowed to do. Let's see and hope for a bunch of players that will help us qualify for Europe and maybe we can get them transfered at summer.

So what are you thinking sheeds?

Probs 1/2 loans and maybe a if we get any cash for Heitinga?

Yeah mate that's what I was hearing but let's be honest it's always fluid . When we signed Gibson he'd told others he wasn't looking for a midfielder . So situations change but it doesn't seem we are on the edge of a spree but does that really surprise any of us does it ?

I don't think we've got the cash available for spending , moyes got about half the Rodwell Money so we can see what we've got available .

Anyway I'm on a jolly to the sun so lets hope the occasional log on here shows me to be off the mark , I'd love a couple of players in.
