Louis van Gaal expects to stay on as manager after FA Cup glory
Mourinho has long been linked with replacing Van Gaal and not even winning the FA Cup could smother the rumours.

Reports surfaced moments after United beat Crystal Palace 2-1 that Mourinho will be announced at Old Trafford inside the next three days.
But when asked if he had needed to win the cup to keep his job after the game, Van Gaal said: "That's not so important for me. I want to win things, titles.

"I have won everywhere I have worked so I don't have to prove myself. When they want to use my knowledge, my management, I shall continue.

"We have proved today that we have a title, and that (the last title) was a long time ago. Also, in a period of Sir Alex Ferguson, he does not win every title."

Mourinho, sacked by Chelsea in December after his second spell in charge of the west London club, is said to have agreed a three-year deal with the United hierarchy at the end of last week.

Agree no Chelsea manager has really made use of it, crying shame really as there are talented lads there. But Mourinho made a point when he was rehired that he'd use them....and didn't. Indeed he almost seemed to go out of his way not to.

Their academy seems like a cynical way to get around FFP. Buy loads of prospects cheap, loan them out so you don't have to be responsible for developing them, and hope you can sell them for nice profits to reduce your net spend and stay onside with the rules. But almost none of them will ever see the Chelsea XI.

Weird that United fans seem to think that Mourinho plays attractive football.

Yep, he exactly from the same school as LVG, and puts clean sheets before attacking football. Plus he doesn't have time for young players do rashford might have to sit on the bench for awhile now. He will be back in for Stones now and will have man u behind him which I can see him winning. He not a perfect fit for man u but man u don't care as long as they win the title, we will see if Jose is still special next season? man u have now become all about Jose. Hope they both fail, only time I will support Jose is when he plays the R's as it always great viewing for us.

Next season going to be great viewing, we need to get our own great manager. Fingers crossed

I enjoyed watching his Real Madrid side far more than the Barca one at that time. I love a good, fast paced, counter attacking side more than a slow possession side.

But I suppose it helps when you have Ronaldo, Di Maria, Benzema, Ozil..

I'm just so glad the classless Mourinho has joined the classless Mancs, leaving the door open for a manager at Everton who will treat the job and all it entails with the respect and dignity that we expect of our boss.
How long will it be before the Mancs become all about Mourinho and less about the club?
