Mourinho to Man Utd

Chin up boys and girls.
At least our youth will get a look in.
As much as I wanted him he would have been short term, so now we can look forward to our new manager building an empire not seen since Elizabeth 1st.
One thing I was concerened about is our dignity, it would have gone right out the window.
So now Man U can stoop even lower, if it's possible. I've got a feeling it will all go pear shaped.
These grapes taste sour right now.

Well you can see us win for decades and build a dynasty, or see us win once, maybe twice, and then never again. You can then bring your child up to support a team that never wins anything

As if I'm having kids.

Anyway, the point is, we've tried the kids thing in the past. It's hasn't worked. Maybe it never will.

But whatever the way we win I'll be happy. I get the impression you'd be disappointed if we won with a team of boss signings.

All the negatives behind Jose is the reason why he'll get them back to the top

He'll manage for 3 year minimum, spend loads, and barely give youth a run out...but it'll also get them consistently in the champos league, win them trophies, and get them challenging for the title again. Which is what they need to put them on track.

They can sort their identity out afterwards.

What I don't want is for us to have a very short period where we win something with a bunch of overpaid mercenaries, only to then end up back right where we were once they leave

I want sustained success over decades

I want a manager to come in and create a dynasty using players from the youth set up, like Ferguson did with the class of 92

I want to pass down to future Evertonians a successful club

I don't want to be lamenting with kids in 20 years time that they've never seen us win anything, the way older supporters who remember the 80's have to do with me

You should want Everton to be successful FOREVER, not just once or twice in a 40 year period

The time for short termism is dead. We finally have the resources to build something that will last

We can afford to develop and hold on to this batch of young players

For the first time in decades, we control our own destiny

Yes, we'll need to make some big signings, of course we will, but we should be looking to promote from within also

If we'd had Moshiri's money a decade ago, we'd still have Rooney and would have probably built a title winning team around him

Now is the time to finally build the team you and I would have wanted to inherit

Not just you and me, but @nosejam , @Roztitute and others. Loyal blues who've seen us win naff all because we inherited a club on it's arse

Let's not let the next generation have to do likewise eh?

Let's build that dynasty

Let's get a manager in the vein of a Jogi Loew and let him build something amazing

Nice bit of hypocrisy from most media outlets. Most showing faux anger and moral outrage. If they thought the leak was out of order, then they bury the story till Monday. It's not like they don't have previous on burying newsworthy stories #johnwhittingdale
