Can we add Berbatov to the Everton MoM list? Seeing as his ridiculous penalty changed the momentum, I think he was our most valuable player.

Was going to go for Lescott, but the shootout swung it in favour of Jagielka. There were no passengers in our team today : every player stood up to be counted. I'm proud of them all.

Has to be Howard. Not only did he save two PKs, he saved 2 IN A ROW, AND he did it after Cahill's woeful miss. Cahill's miss was a DAGGER to any hope of momentum/destiny anyone was feeling. Howard singlehandedly brought us back from the brink with two timely and skillful saves. Rarely if ever can a keeper put such a dramatic and important stamp on a game than what he did for us today.

Aside from Cahill, he's always been my second favorite (I'm an American and I never would have found everton without him) but I hope everyone realizes how HUGE those two saves were.

Pienaar was all over the shop today. Him and Baines down the left were where we looked most threatening. On the other wing we looked toothless.

However, Howard takes the plaudits today. Get in, son.

I'm in a minority but i thought despite the lack of a final ball, baines was fantastic today. Still bombing forward even deep into extra time. The effort he put in was outstanding(y)

Jagielka and Lescott where excellent, as always.

Pienaar was bright, never stopped running and was one of the few players who wanted the ball. Baines did well backing him up.

I'll give it to Howard though, he won us the game.

I thought Pienaar was outstanding today, one of his best if not the best performance by him in a blue shirt.
Jagielka was solid at the back and had balls to take that pen, must have had visions of Fiorentina.
Lescott was solid.
And obviously Howards penalty saves.
