Why blame individual players, honestly. Jags made an awful error that drastically affected the game. How many times will he do that in his career, hardly any. It's not like he's a nervous Titus Bramble is it. Other than that he did very little wrong today and I think he's been excellent for the past few games.
All of their goals were poor defending.

No one played particularly poorly in midfield or upfront, but we didn't have any creativity either. The style of play was much better tho, playing that way is enough to beat most teams. It would've been enough today if it wasn't for our mistakes and Villa having one excellent player. To be fair, we've been done like that against lots of teams over the years, but it's usually been against Man United or Chelsea or Liverpool, you know what I mean. You have to give Villa credit really. We're gonna struggle to catch them now.

He only had one good free kick and that was made ten times better by Osman. The rest were as bad as his corners.

Went for Lescott, because of the two goals. Believe Fellaini had an awful second half tbh. Feel sorry for Jags, best player of the season so far.

I respect Lescott's contribution today, but Cahill played as well, as you can expect him to play without scoring any goals.

Also, defending my Cahill's pick - he was actually involved in our both goals, won a free kick before the 1st and had an assist to Lescott for 2nd.

I am one of the biggest Fellaini's supporters here, but I didn't like his game today. Especially in last 20 minutes, when he was lacking energy. Same story for Anichebe after 50-55 minutes, even if he was decent as Target Man in 1st half.

It has to be Lescott - by default - just for scoring the 2 goals, but he really shouldve done better with the final goal.

My MOTM is Arteta, I thought he played really well in the middle, he made some great challeneges. Everyone played really well bar ossie and cahill, I cant believe we lost that game

Gone for Yobo, no mistakes and can't kept Agbonlahor almost completely out of the match... Unlucky with a cracking header a metre wide as well.

Liked Pienaar just for his ability to make space out of nothing and covered a lot of ground and Neville was solid again as well.

Special mention for van der Meyde looking like he a threat out wide and actually bothering to put 100% effort in for his little cameo, hopefully more to come.

I agree that Timmy didn't have one of his better games today. He won the ball well on occassions but his redistribution was poor in the main. He seems to lack confidence with the ball at his feet these days..
