Neutral pundits with no obvious ties to certain clubs, equal coverage time for teams that don't have hundreds of millions of fans, cutting-edge analysis from pundits who have played the modern game at the highest level.

its ****ing annoying, i hated the highlights when they were on ITV because of all the ads, but i really would welcome it back now. They analyzed liverpool more than anyone else, i dont think they even said anything about the swansea game. Suarez brilliant hat-trick my arse, all 3 goals were gifted to him because of defensive errors, good finishes yes, but they were all one on one against ruddy who had he stood on his line would hae probably saved all of them. I don't why everyone gets wound up by MOTD, what else do you expect. If it was Derek Mountfield & Peter Reid instead of Hansen & Lawrensen, you wouldn't expect them to talk up Liverpool, so why should they talk up Everton. Im not arsed they don't go on about us and they hardly give us airtime - keeps us under the radar

The pundits never ever say anything insightful about the game. And they get paid more money an hour then I make in a year. The difference being I could probably do their job better then they can and they wouldn't have a clue how to do mine.

Agree. Shearer was a dirty git but the man scored serious goals. Dixon I don't mind. Never struck me as the gloating city type, plus he also scored one of the best own goals ever and laughs about it.

Sorry but I would expect Ex Everton players to behave witha minimum of decorum. I wouldn't expect them to talk up anyone except teams who were putting in exceptional performances. They're not being paid as PR men for or by their ex clubs. They're supposed to be working (basically) as journalists an as such should at least make a show of impartiality .
