You can just put the whole Joshua Tree down as a absolute masterclass.
Think Red Hill mining town is my favourite song on that album.

A few years ago Classic Rock mag seemed to have a crusade to make everyone believe we lived in a world where The Wildhearts, and their frontman 'Ginger From The Wildhearts' (as he is always referred to as nobody knows who he is otherwise) were in fact the biggest band of the preceding ten years and much missed rock legends after their split..
In reality hardly anyone had ever heard of them, which is unsurprising as they were utter piffle
They also used to have Aerosmith on the cover every other issue. They're a load of old pony as well.

I don't like punk music, i dont get it. I understand the movement behind it but the Sex Pistols music is genuinely awful. But im sure they were great live when you could experience the violence and phlegm.
The only two genres of music I've never been able to enjoy are Punk and Jungle.
I mean Beth Gibbons has an otherwordly voice. No chance Portishead is overrated.

I'll be honest i haven't listened to a lot of the clash, just a handful of the famous ones. They sounded like they had a few different influences and styles over what i associate (rightly or wrongly) as the punk sound i dislike. Just take their 2 biggest mainstream hits, probably London calling and Rock the casbah. That isn't how i think of punk music. I'm not a musician, i just know that every time i have been to a punk nignt at a club or a cd was put on i never enjoyed it. One of mates went through a punk stage so i endured it as infrequently as possible.
Probably not in the general public sense, but Captain Beefheart always appears in critics best of lists, and I just don't get it. I'm probably a heathen or something, but it just sounds like out of tune noise

Really can’t understand bands who change direction from what made them “successful” and “huge”, because they’ve “made it” and want to effectively showcase how “different” they are.
With that in mind, most Overrated bands of the last 25 years are anything by Radiohead since 2001, and anything by muse after 2010.
Absolute drivel and still charging £80 a ticket.
