I will always remember (sir) alan ball, the greatest player to ever put on the the royal blue,
in fact i would put him amongst the top ten english footballers of all time, god i loved the bones
of that man. I can see him now,in the plain royal blue shirt, with his white shorts, white socks,
and those white boots.I could never forgive h c for selling him to arsenal.R I P bally,
loved you la,you were the GREATEST.

Many of the above I guess: King's winner against the Sh1te, 2-0 against Villa (LC Semi 1984), Bayern, QPR (title), stuffing West Ham 4-0 in 1987), any win over the RS - especially the FA Cup wins, Big Bob's 30th, McKenzie's dribble across the pitch, Fiorentina, Some of the hammerings we used to give Man U. Bally, Harvey, Kendall, Brian Labone, picking up the title on our pitch, Arteta, Cahill, Big Dunc, stuffing Leeds 5-0, Lineker's goals, Tricky Trev, Sheeds, 2 late goals to beat Coventry in the League Cup (1984), the 4-4 cup tie against the RS (1-0 replay), ending their long unbeaten run 1-0, beating Arsenal in the FA Cup back in 1981. Beating Ipswich 2-1 in the cup after a humiliating 4-0 loss a few weeks before (the one where the cushions came raining down on the pitch), taking my lad to his first game, seeing up play in the Champions League (albeit a qualifier), taking my brother (who has now passed away) to the match & then my younger sister.. I think I'll stop there!!

My best was when this lad scored

I never remember anything from the games. I can remember the day leading up to the Gosling 1-0 derby clear as day but I've got no recollection of the ball going in. It's weird.

My best memory is Andy Johnson scoring against Arsenal in the last minute.

I remember that, lashing it down with Halestone, it was nearly a white out, then AJ ran off to the corner with golf balls bouncing off his bald head..

Favourite? Fiorentina. It was a pleasure to be part of that crowd. Istill have the game on my Sky+ and watch the Arteta goal every so often when I want cheering up.

I also have the Everton Liverpool 4-4 on tape. I need to get it transferred onto DVD at some point.

My funniest memory was the marathon man who had run about 50 marathons for charity and was allowed to run around the pitch before the game. He was out the tunnel for his lap of applause and he lost it and had to run on the pitch. In his road-worn trainers he slipped, pulled his hamstring and had to skulk off and limp the rest of his lap in agony.... Still makes me piss now! 5-0 defeat of man u with a speedy hat trick footy wise, did em good that day...
