Great player.

It’s funny, but it’s quite frequent that when a player loses the faith of a fans it’s nigh impossible for them to get their trust back. It’s like fans are ready and waiting for a player to put a foot wrong so it gives them the green light to pile on the abuse.

Getting himself sent off against Lille showed his mentality, he wasn’t arsed, and he hasn’t been arsed since, He has been literally putting two fingers up to us fans.

One thing I don’t really agree with is giving a load of abuse to a player when he’s playing, but I’m not going to slag fans off who have done it, that’s their prerogative.

Also, agree that fans sometimes can’t wait for certain players to put a foot wrong so the can dish out the abuse, but we haven’t had to wait for Schneiderlin to put a foot wrong, he’s been gash all season.

I can accept a player being out of form (or just not actually any good) it happens to the best players in the world, just can’t accept a player not even attempting to put any effort in for nearly a whole season.

It’s like him having a few decent games of late, he’s doing that for himself IMO to get himself in the shop window for a move, and not for the fans.

I’m prepared to give the lad a chance, he’s definitely let himself down this year, but I think he can still grow as a player with the right players around him.

I think he's been given about 25-30 chances tbh mate and it ain't been since chance 31 he's shown any kind of sign of putting in an acceptable performance.

Honestly, I hope he has 2 cracking performances to finish the season so he can then be someone else's problem next season and we recoup the majority of what we paid.

The WHOLE season has been his chance, yet he’s only just decided to put some effort in the last few games, and that’s just to get the move he’s been after for a long time.

he's always been a good player, he suffered this season, and we never really know whats going on behind the scenes in someones life, one of the reasons I was very uncomfortable with the abuse the park end gave him, all too typical of them, he's shown real strong character to come back from that, and I've heard today that marcel brands spoke about him in a leadership role in his talks, apparently he's a big fan

Brands would have no say as a DOF in captaincy or otherwise.

Additionally, it wouldn't even make any logical sense. He's not been bothered all season (lille red lol ) and then shows 'strong character' to play and try and win another money spinning move?

Perhaps he is, I’d like to remain positive that one of the players we have who has genuine quality on his day would turn it around for us.

Hopefully I’m not wrong, but accept he needs to show more going forward if he’s to stay and gain respect of the fan base.

Can fully understand fans who are at the end of their tether with him also.

Toothless, 4 good performances all year. Want someone who can show passion, even if they're struggling. Glad he is putting a shift in now, perhaps we will recoup what we paid to bring him in.

Putting himself in the shop window.

All these recent performances tell me is that it was always still in his locker, he just really couldn’t be arsed. Which is even worse than just being totally crap.

Inabit Schneiderlin lad.

IS it possible our upturn in form (albeit slight) is down to Morgs playing well again? Our best form under Koeman was when he was playing well too. Hopefully he plays well today
