He proved that’s he’s our best option as a defensive midfielder, much better than gana in that position. And the players who played in front of him and has liesnce to room and break forward offered nothing on the ball, once he went off we lost our ability to keep the ball.

The jury is still out for me regarding next season, but if I had to pick one of our midfielders to play alongside a new technically gifted midfielder next season, I would pick schneiderlin all day, at his best he’s a class above anything else we have.

I agree to a certain extent and he’s not part of our future moving forward. But neither is gana davies or Rooney. And we definitely lost control of that game once he went off

If one of them three from the midfield have to start next season it should be him, in front of the back four and on his own. Not next to Gueye, who I think should not be a guaranteed starter at home against the poor teams in the league.

It is the most disappointing area of the team at the moment. Schneiderlin/Rooney and Gueye offer no drive , pace or threat of goals from midfield. Sam did try to sign N'Nzonzi and you could see what he would bring to that midfield.

Hes doing ok, i still have some doubts for his fee, wages and end product, its the area of the field were we are at our weakest in my opinion, we really need to recruit, vairence and craft there, no bridge through central midfield out of defense to attack, if you want to beat Everton just press central midfield, we have one of the worst in the PL.

Nah, he was so ponderous on the ball and more often than not picked the easiest pass possible. This season has been so bad that even the most basic achievements are now feted as a good performance.
