Takes the ball in the middle, spins, plays it back. Rinse and repeat.

He makes it look classy because he's a natural on the ball but we don't need a player like him in the team at the moment.

Agree, it's a cop out role tbh. Him going off let Rooney dictate play from a deeper position and Gueye was back to himself whilst Davies was actually being positive with the ball. We are a better team without him.

God I hate this fella. His suspected bad character was proven by his training ground antics. Started the season horribly, and still performs like he is running in quicksand. His first thought it always to play the ball backwards, which kills any potential attack and often leads to us coming under pressure as Martina and Williams are simply unable to play the ball nicely out of defence. Would happily see Schneiderlin sold. Davies is better, even McCarthy is better.

Top post, mate

Koeman appears to be a manager that thrives off momentum and confident happy players. The fixture list was brutal at the start of the season and he didn't know how to lift the players when they were low and ride the storm out. it was a tough start but there were winnable games in there that he still couldn’t get a result from. I don’t know much about his managerial career before Southampton but didn’t his time at Valencia end very similar? I’m sure had the opening 4 games been against West Ham, Huddersfield, Newcastle and Swansea he'd still be in the job.
Thank god for the fixture list then ;)

Schneiderin, Williams and Martina are the main culprit of timid footballer that is plaging the team.

Afraid to pass forward, afraid of dribbling, worst of them is Schneiderlin, simply no guts to even carry the ball and run a couple of yards forward and attempt through ball. Always looking to relieve the responsibility and pass the ball to someone else to make a decision on their behalf.
Williams & Martina, due to being exactly what (CB and FB) and who they are, would have to drop down a few levels to be able to pass and dribble like Messi or even Barry.
Schneiderlin was SUPPOSEDLY brought in as being able to do that, but for some reason either Can't or Won't - bin

Bad character but went straight back into the team?

Don't think Allardyce is a fan of his negative passing. I also don't think Davies is ready to be a regular in this position yet. I'd be making this role an absolute priority in the summer. It's difficult to find these players but having a Cazorla (pre injury) in there would transform our team and the amount we play on the front foot.
