Are people honestly saying he didn't touch him? He caught him with his trailing leg, I'm pretty sure on that. And a tackle from behind and sliding in from distance is always at risk of a card and a foul even if you take the ball. I wasn't surprised at all when the card came out, and I think it's harsh not to acknowledge how the ref may have seen it even if you think ultimately it wasn't a foul. Ref has to call it in an instant. First reaction from me to him sliding in was no, no, no... Bad decision by Schneids for me.
He caught him with his trailing leg, so what? The top of his foot caught the side of Aguero's foot as they were both on the ground and Schneiderlin had his leg tucked in. He can't just leave his trailing leg 20 yards away. And it quite clearly wasn't a tackle from behind, no idea why you'd say that. He's in front of Aguero who spins to make it maybe a tackle from the side.
It was never a yellow card in a million years. If a defender nudges someone in the box who goes down easily you could maybe say it was a stupid decision. But we're now excusing refereees and blaming players who get sent off for perfectly good challenges? Madness.
