I think it does really especially when you've been an expensive one.
You deserve a run when you're playing well. Ergo Davies, DCL etc. should be in and Klaassen and Morgan might be bench material. It's a form game not a price tag game.

By a run I mean 10-12 games. Klaasen has had 1 league game so far. Morgan has had half a season of doing not very much. You deserve a run when you're playing well. Ergo Davies, DCL etc. should be in and Klaassen and Morgan might be bench material. It's a form game not a price tag game.

This.Absolute Rolls Royce of a player. If you want him out of the side... well... football isn't for you.

Check our results with him in the side vs our results without him.Morgan has had half a season of doing not very much.
I don't think we can put klaasen on the niasse levelThat's over a quarter of a season. If we're going by your logical let's stick Niasse up front. He was expensive and hasn't had a prolonged run out yet![]()
YetI don't think we can put klaasen on the niasse level
The forward and midfield set up this season is going to be very interesting, especially once we bring in our new target man. There is now also the added possibility that Barkley's injury may scupper his plans for a move away this summer. What we will be left with is depth and options that we've never had before. Our season revolves around how Koeman manages those options.Who else drops out for you? Schneiderlin for Davies, but who does Sigurdsson replace?

He basically has a couple of choices. He can decide on a formation and a preferred line up and stick to this regardless of who we are playing. Mixing up the personnel every now and then to dependent on form/injuries. Very much the way, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Liverpool and probably Spurs operate. Or he can change the formation/tactics/personnel to suit the team we're playing.
Personally I would prefer he went for the latter. I don't think our playing staff is strong enough to just go head to head with the top teams. There are going to be times when we don't need to play 2 holding midfielders so we can put an extra attack minded player on the pitch from the off. I don't want to see both Rooney and Siggy on the pitch together all the time as I think they are both too similar. Probably OK against teams that park the bus but otherwise I would rotate them. The likes of Klaassen is also ideal against teams that pack their defences, but no way would I play him if our tactics are going to be counter attacking. There are going to be games where we need to fill the midfield with legs, such as the next 4 games coming up. I'd start with Schneids, Gana and Davies in all those games.
Hopefully the new players won't take long to settle in and Koeman opts for finding the right balance rather than trying to fit all our best players (or most expensive players) into the same team.
