looks like we have our scapegoat for the season, surprised it's Morgs

Morgs didn't play as well as he could have in either leg vs Ruzomberok, but was decent enough vs Stoke.

Morgs and Gana individually are both class, but together are a little too defensive minded which is why Gana is trying to make his way up the field more recently and popping off shots. This has been said many times before mind, and especially if we are playing 3 at the back then 2 DM's is a bit overkill.

I'm sure this will work more effectively however once Klaassen finds his feet in the team and carries us forward a little more.

He is no scapegoat for me (Morgs), that is Williams job. Who is btw, terrible and unfit etc etc lol

For me he's a superior version of McCarthy. But I don't want any version of McCarthy near the team, we've moved on from those limited types of players.

Statistics are useless, but he bested both of his averages with 5 tackles and 6 interceptions. I'm going to assume all of the concerns are on the offensive side of the ball because you can't fault him defensively as he was brilliant against Stoke on that side of the ball. Defensively he was equal with Gana.

Schneiderlin does offer a little more range than McCarthy, but he doesn't take many risks. I can understand why he would fail the eye test.

That is one of the areas Barry excelled in these days. Always had a great counter attacking option in Barry. Albeit Schneiderlin is leagues ahead of him defensively at this point in his career.

This. Think he getting a raw time.
He will get better in the next few games as at the moment hes feeling his way into the games and taking the safer options with his passing. Options ahead of him finding their feet too so will pick up better spaces in the coming weeks. Think having him in the team allows Gana to do what he does. I do agree when we get up to speed we don't need the 2 in the team at home against smaller teams.

Hes not playing well, that goes without saying, when we find a freaking team formation that everybodys comfortable with things will settle down, currently its all over the place.

Morgan is a truly outstanding footballer.
