Strange. Perhaps it's the same affliction that has struck Williams, Jagielka and Keane this season.

Keane is the strange one out of that bunch.

Young lad, should be busting a gut to make more of a name for himself, but just seems to have become afflicted with the general malaise that`s affected a lot of the squad.

Makes you wonder what`s really going on behind the scenes.

[Poor language removed] useless ..his past history about his tackling has now become ..I,m saving my tackle for the missus..
Shouldn,t be anywhere near the first team bus unless he was getting taken somewhere else courtesy of the bus driver .
Never in all my time as a Evertonian have i seen a total waste of space.
I really despair..

Genuinely thought THAT Alcaraz performance was better then what this utter whopper has produced this season.

I would be made up to get rid of this fraud, he must be amazing in training because he does absolutely nothing in the games I have seen.

Jib him off, leave Gana as the holder/shield and get someone ANYONE with a bit of power and aggression next to him, N'Zonzi or something like that.

cant do with another game seeing this idiot in our shirt

He’s the worst coward of a footballer I’ve ever seen. Purposely gets himself marked so he can’t receive a pass, bottles challenges, he’s weak, always a sideways or backward pass. Would make me very happy if he never plays for us again.

You must have missed his appearance here in October 2015.

Manchester United have Premier League’s best ball-winner in Morgan Schneiderlin, stats show Mark Brus Monday 19 Oct 2015

Manchester United summer signing Morgan Schneiderlin has proven himself to be the top tackler in the Premier League over the past three seasons. According to Squawka, the Frenchman won the most tackles in the English top flight since winning promotion with previous club Southampton in 2012.

Incredibly, Louis van Gaal hasn’t always fancied Schneiderlin as a guaranteed starter, but his commanding performance at Everton this weekend should do him the world of good. As well as getting on the scoresheet, the 25-year-old achieved a Premier League-high 97 per cent pass accuracy at Goodison Park, showing he can be the perfect all-rounder that the Reds need in that key position.

He was absolutely brilliant that game, easily their MoTM. I remember thinking how is he not getting regular game time in this team. When we signed him he looked like a great buy between Jan and May, everyone was thinking how good will this fella be with a proper pre season under his belt and he has plummeted ever since. Absolute no mark of a player now, can't wait till he doesn't play for us anymore.

Schneiderlin, Williams, Jagielka and Keane all appeared to lose the will to play. Is there a collective malaise here?

But they still retain their ability. Williams seems to have come through this difficult time. Will the others emerge too?

And with McCarthy now out, we need a defensive midfielder.

Keane has been injured. He was quite good before that honestly. Still hope with him IMO.

Really?

Liverpool Echo 24 NOV 2017

Michael Keane has been told it’s “OK to put it in Row Z” as David Unsworth backs the Everton defender to rediscover his form.

The Blues caretaker boss insists £30m Keane is the “right type” to prove his quality despite dealing with a crisis of confidence.

We need a midfielder, not a defensive one
