I've been in the minority for a while now trying to defend Schneiderlin by advocating that he's been expected to play a role that he can't fulfil.

However, after his utterly shambolic and gutless performance yesterday, he deserves much of the criticism he has received. Totally inept.

Pulling out of tackles, easily caught in possession, truly awful passes (inc. some awful Hollywood balls) and so negative in both tempo and play.

He shouldn't be in the starting XI next week or anywhere near it to be fair, although with McCarthy now out I expect he'll get another opportunity.

Thought he was great last season but looks like his confidence is shot.
Said it a few weeks ago but he is currently a coward who deliberately moves into positions where people can’t pass to him so he doesn’t have to touch the ball. The best new signing we could make bar a left back is a psychologist to remind schneiderlin he is a football player and to remind others in the team they can play a forward pass that isn’t a hoof towards a corner flag!!!
If Southampton do want him we should do whatever we can to get Bertrand the other way. We can’t keep carrying him and playing with ten men!!

I'd defended him for a while and did like him for a bit, but it's remarkable how quickly he's become someone I thoroughly dislike.

A messed, a liar, a crab, a coward, an ego and a fraud. The result doesn't matter to him. Appalling weak mentality from someone who looks a born loser.

His bottle has gone, he doesn't go forward for fear of losing the ball and fans getting on his back. Everything he does is negative, watch him when the other team is attacking, he hides in no mans land.
We have to get rid, he's making Nyarko look like Viera at the moment. Our central midfield needs someone who can hold the ball.

We have some bad players , coco , niasse , Lennon ,you could even say the same about klassen and sandro. Jags is finished as is Williams and baines too but At least these players put effort in. Morgan is a shithouse and needs gone ASAP.

Not his biggest fan but his confidence is rock bottom and it’s not helped by no movement ahead of him or have 2 poor wingbacks.

Yesterday he found Walcott 3 or 4 Times with 30yd balls but he couldn’t find a 5yd pass.

Defensive he is nowhere near what we need - he lacked bite and aggression.

I think he is frustrated and you can see in his play but he is here to stay because nobody is going to pay £10m+ and his wages

Absolute coward of a footballer. Don't think I've ever seen someone hide and shirk responsibility as much as this lad. Seldom passes forward, pretty much makes himself unavailable for passes with his positioning, and to top it off just trots around the pitch. Wouldn't even have him in the squad for the foreseeable. Needs to massively change his attitude or let him rot if he's not willing.
