I honestly feel like he gave up when his United career didn’t go to plan. Now he’s just coasting along till retirement and picking up what is probably a very nice weekly wage. Has no fire in his belly at all.

I actually think at times today he played hard, he's just slow. But not hard enough. If you are going to be unathletic, play with some speed and confidence. McCarthy may not be amazing, but he at least came in and played his tail off.

I was happy when we signed this guy but I can’t see what he offers us, backs out of 50/50’s never passes forward, out muscled in centre of park, I would like to see n zonzi with Gana or Gana on his own with the sig and Rooney in front hopefully some decent width offered by replacement lb and return of Seamus or Jonjo

I've held out a rather forlorn hope this season that the Morgan Schneiderlin of last season was still in there somewhere but after yesterday I think its safe to declare the old Morgan K.I.A. If there is any desperate losers out there (Stoke and West Ham I'm looking at you) that will take this clone off us so we could buy Steven Nzonzi it would be greatly appreciated.

This is one of my biggest infuriations, he did absolutely nothing to get himself back in the side, absolutely nothing.

No w i know alot of people on here are not tom davies biggest fans but the lad has been moved from position to position in and out of the team given different roles week in week out!
Schneiderfraud has got his place back randomly after a 20 minute cameo in the derby and not missed a game since, despite stinking the gaff out v swansea and getting hooked after an hour with us significantly improving once he went off.
Our best midfield 3 so far this season has been Gana sitting deep, Davies providing the aggression and legs and rooney using his passing ability, as a 3 we havent lost with them, barely conceded and scored goals. Then for some reason after the derby he changes that and hes been picked ever since

Just said the same to a pal in work, i have to double back on myself incase i think my hatred for him is masking my opinion on his performance.

Than i see him jogging around the pitch and jockeying players from 5 yards away and misjudging were the ball is going to be and i feel my opinion is justified

Perhaps It’s worth Walsh getting on the blower to Southampton, see if they want thier prodigal son back.. think at this moment in time even they’d laugh us off..

He would call trying to sell Schneiderlin and the ywould end up blagging him to sign Jordy Classie

Definitely. I was on to him before it all went pair shaped because I think that role is the easiest in football. Break up play, intercept and pass the ball 5 yards, big cop out. So I was watching him close and asked myself what the hell he has to offer and it is zero. Lyon away was embarrassing.

He seemed to hate sitting deep having players running at him and passed him, burt seemed to lift his game as soon as we kept the ball and pushed on. i think the system/poor performance of out whole team is effecting his game. Maybe his game would come back if we got on the front foot, but sitting deep will finish him at this club.

Being put in the window to encourage a sale perhaps.

I think Sam may have been promised some funds but they will have to be supplemented with sales.

I doubt that he was a future under Sam. I think it will be Gueye and McCarthy as the defensive midfielders.
