Can't think of any Everton player I've ever hated as much as this guy. He genuinely has no positive attributes other than the fact that he seems to be our only central midfield who never gets hurt (oh the irony).

I can't think of any good reason to put him into a lineup at this point. I'd rather see one of the kids come up - at least if you stick a U23 player in there and they struggle, you can say they're getting PL experience that will benefit them in the long run.

When we bid for Schneiderlin, I remember a lot of Man Utd fans saying they couldn't believe how much we were paying for him, and coming out with comments like "I'll drive him to Goodison myself", type of thing. But he did have a decent patch for us at the start, then he just seemed to level off and drift along.

He doesn't get hurt because he doesn't burn any calories . How many times have we see him track back a little and then when the defenders spot the offensive player , he jogs a little then stops . ?
He doesn't pass forward as " it isn't his job " . I haven't hated a midfielder this much since Nyarko .

My brother is (for reasons best known to himself) a United season ticket holder he frequently forgets that Schneiderlin ever played for them. A total non-entity.
