That might be true but I don't think it really helps us that much. I prefer Davies because I actually think his heart is in the right place, not because he's any better.

He was ok, but you can't have him and Gomes as holding players especially against Villa when we had 65% possession. You can have one player who sits and performs a job to cover and roll the ball to the ball players, not two.

I prefer Davies too but I’m not saying he’s a world beater by any means. But like you say he brings energy , effort and hunger with him. Gomes and sneiderfraud should never be on the same pitch together. They take no risks on the ball and like you say they both slow us down with Morgan being beyond infuriating to watch.
