A fair few don't count though as they got relegated and left without playing. But of those that do Maddison, Danjuma, Watkins and Bellingham are all very solid players.

I think its because their team is fully stocked with solid attacking players and that he's a promising British talent so they assume someone will eventually pony up the cash. Pl teams go gaga over English talent

Huh? Many of those players never played a minute in the championship and moved immediately off relegated prem clubs. Off the top, I’m pretty sure Ake, Sissoko, Pickford, wijnaldim, Collins. Might be a couple more there too.

Not getting a game at Chelsea and doing well on loan at Premier League Palace is not the same as not getting a game for Wolves and doing well at Championship Sheffield United.

It would be a risk.

I'm not sure I would want to pay that money for Gallagher either.

Think they're both probably worth it mate tbh, my 'loan check' for a young player is when they go on loan and tear it up - both these lads at 22 showed that by winning their respective clubs player of the season awards. Shows a certain character and determination to prove something to do that on a loan which I want to see in anyone we recruit now.

In a game where realistically 20m these days gets you a punt on a player with one good year in France or the likes - and paying less than that seems to come with baggage attached most often. Think 30m (all in is probably a fair price)

Thelwell will know him well as he had an academy role at Wolves when the lad first broke through mate, also saw a thing on a wolves forum saying he was the one who recommended his last contract he received etc.

So definitely a Thelwell pick - Cole will know him too from the England unders setup.
