Bowen was literally 18m reaching 25m with add ons. The deal should be very similar here. Starting at 25m would be too much.

Probably shouldn’t be going higher than that, but I do think he’d be a good investment. We complain about targets and here’s one who looks ready to break out. He’s got the physical tools and potential. My big question is about position - do we see him as a #10, or can he play in a more withdrawn midfield role or as a narrow winger? And that would be a question for those who have seen him play more than a few times (likely not anyone on here)

They were good additions to good teams, they were risks worth taking for them. With us we need player that come into the first 11 straight away and perform. If we weren't broke this is the exact type of player I'd want us to go for, not now when literally every little bit of money can count towards something. Same thing with us being linked with Broja, Gallagher, KLP etc. I'd love to see good young players come here and develop but we aren't in the situation to do that right now, due to years of mismanagement of transfers.

We could go down anyway but without calculated risks we're on borrowed time.
