Indeed, and given what we know of how Monchi works, he will have been the prime figure in highlighting which manager was available and best suited to replace Emery. I have no idea what this means in respect of him staying/leaving Savilla , but at the moment for him it's business as usual.

Reading his words, I suppose Monchi covers himself (just about) by saying that he would never engineer his own departure from Sevilla, knowing that Sevilla might willingly agree to his departure if approached by another club without Monchi putting pressure on them.
