Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
This is going to be such a hard task, as every one played their socks off to a man. An boy were they men last night. after such a thrillig display, i sit here this morning trying to reflect on some great displays last night.

AJ- his best game for a long time, led the line superbly. never gave them a moments piece. got another scruffy (strikers) goal. but right place right time stuff.

Ossie-was like a little engine in the middle, the amount of work he got through was astounding. Played some neat stuff in the middle. an a few shots on goal. First time iv seen him box-2-box like that. Just shows he can play in a four midfield. an his commitment to block the freekick are as good as goals to a fan. Little gem.

Arteta- After months of being injured, an flattering to decive. Last night was a giants performance. Dancing round the italians at will. even his dead ball was a lot better,an with a bit of luck could have scored from one or two.An what a goal, just when you need someone to step up, our spanish marval hits a wonder strike. Great goal, great performance.

Their were other great displays. Neville, a great captins performence again. Yak, a few nice touches. lescott, ran the line againg like a world class left back. pienaar, great cross for the goal. This lad just gets better an better.

But for me MoM again was.........

Jags- What a monster performance from him again. Like a rock at the back. nothing gets through him anymore. He is now are No.1 centre back. He snuffed out everything last night. Plus he has a mouth on him witch yobo an lescott don't. He went through the pain barrier last night you could see it. think he had cramp a few times, but his heart is as big as football.

An after all that, still stood up to take a penulty. Which had to be well saved. We'v said it time an again. HE is a future captin of his club. Jags i take my hat of to you mate, for another towering display....

Who do you think was MoM????

Between Ossie and AJ for me, Aj was superb all night and put in some great runs but it has to be Ossie who was immense all night, tracking back, tackling, running, passing.
Complete performance from him, all that was needed was a goal

Ossie did a great job charging down Free kicks aswell he didn't give them an inch last night Ossie.

Who needs Cahill when Ossie plays like that he more then makes up for Cahill's absense.

MOM for me aswell, Jags is a close second.

Arteta for me. His form this season has been patchy to say the least but last night he was superb. I can't remember him ever giving the ball away, he always either found a team mate or won a foul. His set pieces have rightly been critisized this season but last night they were deadly, causing their defence all sorts of problems. And to cap it off his goal was a belter.

More of the same please Mikel.

arteta but its a close call. they had 3 men on him in the second half and he still led them a merry dance.

osman, jags, yak(except for not scoring),aj and lesscott were also excellent.

I thought Yobo had a terrfic game and Pienaar,

Ossie faded form 80 mins onwards,

AJ although he had a great game stretching the defence and runnig he should have scored at least one more. I thought he dived for the pen shout, infact if he stayed on his feet i thought he would have got the penalty moments after.

Jags had a good game, but for me Yobo was the classier of the two.

Lescott and Osman were immense.

Jags played very well but distribution could have been better, too many randomly hoofted balls down the wing to no one.

it has to be lescott.

he had loads to do defencively and also provided options when attacking.

the whole team played well but i think lescott had more to do than say jags or osman and didnt put a foot wrong all night.

aj would have got it if he didnt miss his opportunities that fell to him.

not taking anything away from aj's great display but if he and yak had hit the target/beat the keeper more then we could have won 5 or 6 -0 .

Spot on Neiler mate, he did his reputation and our club no good with those antics, it has to stop and as you say it could have cost us the game.

I thought Jags just shaded Joey so Jags for me.
