It's not really the not giving him a chance that's the issue. It's that we got one of Europe's best young striking talents - which at the time he was - and just didn't play to any of his strengths. Lumped him up front on his own or out wide and in a 4-2-3-1 and expected him to just be good. Then you get our fanbase, which is just dreadful for young players. We're an odd, odd bunch.

I'm happy he's doing well because he's never gonna come back here and we can get good money for him, but we need to stop doing this. If we sign a promising player, don't just chuck them in and expect it to click right away.

What's his strengths? Having Neymar and Mpbappe either side of him?

If he didn’t get loaned out in Jan he’d still have been parked on the bench getting the odd few minutes doing very little.
I disagree. Again hindsight is great and all but think he'd have been a regular for us this year with the way fixtures have gone. I mean Tosun and Gylfi have both played a fair amount up top, can't tell me that if Kean was here he wouldn't be getting those minutes. Also we've been crying out for a striker off the bench basically all season so if we had that option he'd have been utilized.

DCL, James & Rich both missed time this season early on. Was he used? No, he was shipped out for being crap.
