Not in a 4 I don't think. Walcott isn't exactly a great defender but he puts a shift in to be fair, and gets up and down. From what i've seen of Kean he'd struggle both with the physical demands and the need to stay alert in that position. I agree that wide in a different formation could work, although everyone moaned when Silva tried that for 45 minutes in a league cup game.
The hope would be that we may have a properly functioning midfield , this would reduce somewhat the defensive duties of our attacking players.

I think in a 4 your wide players will always have to do their bit defensively, regardless of how good your midfield is. I'm not sure Kean's touch and passing is up to playing further back either. He looks like a very raw talent, he's quick and strong, and can be really dangerous in broken play, but his all round game looks pretty poor at the moment to me. That's not particularly surprising at this stage, but I don't think playing as a traditional winger would suit him personally.

He was signed to start for us, but then DCL turned into a peak Shearer so I think we will probably move him on this summer.

We would have got most of our money back, but with prices crashing everywhere we will probably have to think a slight hit.

People need to get behind the kid instead of just piling on at every opportunity. We're in unprecedented times and he's a youngster far from home who made a daft but honest mistake.

Yeah that's pretty much the crux of it, he apparently thought it meant you can do what you want as normal in your home, not that you're meant to isolate away from others

Plus his mar isn't around and apparently he's a pretty different cat when by himself

Good explanation of his lockdown mishap in The Athletic and how the club handled it

No brass or strippers involved as rumored

Some of these Athletic articles are brilliant. Maybe I've been living under a rock but I've never come across sports journalism at that level before.
