It doesn't at all. They have no link whatsoever.

I just find it bizarre to be wanting to get rid of young players, especially in swap deals and especially when no football will be played for a long time.

Because clubs will still be recruiting behind the scenes despite the current situation.

If Kean is to head back to Italy would rather we try get Donnarumma in a swap deal considering both players have the same agent than sell him for a loss.

They'll obviously be putting plans in place but there are so many unknowns.

When will next season start?

When would a window be open?

Will foreign travel even be permitted at that point?

How are clubs faring financially?

Plus swaps are so rare. Nor is a striker for a goalkeeper in any way likely imo.

I just think the lad deserves a chance and now is absolutely not the right time to be showing him the door for various reasons. But above all because I believe there is more to come.

Hope you're right Tim as I was excited when he signed but he's largely looked like a bum whenever he's played for us bar the Newcastle game at Goodison

Problem for us is Raoila wont want his clients value dropping so if he doesnt get much time on the pitch you'll start seeing efforts to move him on imo.
 
He will probably prosper in the Italian league as his game seems to be much more suited to the style and pace of Serie A.
I'm not sure we have the time or inclination to try to make him into a top PL player and he may never make it here anyway. Best to cut our losses or try for a decent swap deal.
 
The big problem in Keans future here is, unfortunately, his agent. Its no surprise to see most of Raiola's clients being linked with moves. If he doesnt move in the next 12 months, expect a contract extension will be agreed.
 
Comment under yesterdays Athletic article on our best 11 says the only reason Ancelotti was hired was to get the best out of Kean and rescue Brands reputation... but he thinks hes rubbish.

So Everton spent 10 mil a year on a multiple champions league winning generational talent of a manager just to improve a 19 year old forward?

Where do people get this stuff?
 
Apparently wants to go back to Italy and Raiola wants it also, but we want him to stay another season (it's only Sport Witness, so yeah, pinch of salt)
