My initial thought was 'bad miss', but after watching the replays I'm convinced that the pass was meant. As Richarlison and him start to bear down on goal you can clearly see him look to the right to see where Walcott was.

You’d think if he i was shooting it he would have used his right as well. That was my take anyway. Clumsy but effective there and for a mishit it came off very cleanly

There's no way he's meant that. It's one of them where the ball is so timed with his strides that he's never going to be able to hit it with his right, but it's also not really set for his left either. Possibly could have done better, but thankfully it worked out ok.

There's no way he's meant that. It's one of them where the ball is so timed with his strides that he's never going to be able to hit it with his right, but it's also not really set for his left either. Possibly could have done better, but thankfully it worked out ok.

It's a difficult one...because when I looked at it initially he seems to have a look on his right side to see who is there...so maybe he did try to pass the ball...

I don't think this happened, having watched it back. Pretty sure there's no way he's passing that ball, whether he knows where Walcott is or not like.
