I wanted him to start today. I was wrong. He clearly doesn't have the fitness levels yet & 60 mins would have been too much. In the time he did get today he made a big impression. Needs to do more off the ball but i can forgive him that as he hasn't the fitness to do it yet.
He will now have seen a small glimpse of what is required & how far he is from being match fit. Could take a good few games still.
Im exited though. We have a player.

Felt for him coming on as Digne came off, I think he would of enjoyed playing with him, we kind of went very long ball with either his introduction or Dignes exit.

There was that moment where he had the ball and was surrounded by 3 players. Had the strength to shrug off one, the skill to avoid another and the pace to leave the other behind.

I was concerned about his ability to be an out ball but honestly he battled better than Dom did so there is no reason left not to start him.
