Just got back from the DC United-Seattle game. Lost in the last minute :(

But looking much better than earlier this year. Unlucky to drop the points; both sides had their chances. Booing Kasey Keller was a bit classless though.

Hahaha. Looked like a flop from where La Barra Brava were sitting (which is where I was).

Even without replay, on TV it was pretty clear there was a significant collision...enought that I thought, "Oh Christ, not again" for a second...

(Burpo recovering nicely, up and mobile, though his career is likely over at his age)

Dynamo thumped by the Crew tonight. Scoreline a bit deceiving as we allowed two in the last five minutes.

We just don't have the ability to unlock defenses like we used to (no Holden, no Cameron, no Clark) and are more reliant on set pieces now than ever before.

Can't win consistently that way.

Some general questions, thoughts, hopefully some advice from anybody..

1. Has anybody been to new Red Bulls arena? I hear great things, originally from NY hoping to get up there for trip to visit fam soon, would love to sneak in a match if possible. Is it as good as people say? Since we have no team in FL, it would be very easy to root for them. To this day only MLS game I've ever been to was old Metrostars back in day before migrating south.
2. How do we feel on LD...staying, going? Which would be better for MLS long term? I'm on/off w/ him, mixed feelings on all fronts. Am I the only person who's actually COOLED on him since WC? Something about the way he handled certain situations actually turned me off. I actually think Dempsey very quietly outplayed him, or at least was more consistent, battled like a warrior, left it all on the pitch (and got beat up in the process).
3. Exciting time for the league. Love Henry signing, think Pires would have been fantastic. But would LOVE to see more Freddy Montero's rather than aging stars. Or at least a healthier mix between the 2?
4. All that said, I still think long term what will surprise soccer folks (foreign in particular) will be the quality of U.S. players. I just think our country is a sleeping giant ready to break through. And I don't mean world class talent, rather a large quantity of base "very very good" talent. Which in turn should ultimately expedite the inevitable production of a next level talent.
5. Very excited about so many young players. Mwanga, Zachuani, Najar, Tchani, Opara, Gonzales, Ream, JackMac, Shea, Le Toux...the list goes on!
6. Forgot where I was going here, but sure nobody will lose sleep over it:)

1. I have season tickets. The arena is absolutely gorgeous.
2. Landon needs to leave the MLS. They don't need him. It's better off for everyone if he leaves. Not sure what you want the guy to say right now.
3. I got no problem with the MLS bringing in big named vets. It's a relatively young league (player wise), having some experienced internationals would go along way I think. The Philly Union wanted Pires but he said he didn't want to move his family to that dump of a city, ha.

Right now Landon is selling tickets for the MLS. Theyre keeping him to cash in on his name right now. New England has had trouble getting 10,000 to their matches, bring in LA and Donovan, boom, over 20,000 people show up. but i do agree he needs to come over to europe eventually, hopefully back here to everton, I cant think of a better situation for him than here.

For me an ideal situation is that Landon finishes the season with the Galaxy, the market for him calms down a bit and he comes to Everton in the winter.

The ideal situation for us all would be that he comes over here now for about 4/5 years then returns to the MLS.
