Anyone watch the NY Red Bull vs. Santos friendly?

Loved the stadium and am extremely jealous. Our local politicians have no incentive to get a stadium deal done for us anytime soon and you've got the typical redneck opposition down here.

On a second note, if you saw the match, what a goal by Richards huh?

HALLE-FREAKING-LUJIAH !!!

City, county strike potential Dynamo stadium deal | Soccer | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

Interesting as the two kids they show in the picture are the son and daughter of a guy I played with about 18 years ago.

can't wait for the day where all the clubs have a nice stadium as my goal is to eventually see the Sounders play in each stadium.

Looking forward to thursday night!b)

Lucky! Hope it happens soon in DC.

You could thank the Nationals or should I say the Natinals, their crap team, their 700M 100% taxpayer funded stadium, and the fact that the area around the stadium is still a dump for this never happening.

Thinking about supporting Philly given that DC has a better chance of moving than getting a stadium.

They best chance of getting a new stadium is in Baltimore. I'm sure that will make you happy but DC is really reluctant to move there because a lot of the fans are from Virginia.

DCs fanbase is a majority of Virginia fans, if you didn't know there was a soccer match going on you would think you'd be a VT football tailgate. Besides Baltimore is broke and PG county turned it down (maybe Bowie next to the minor league stadium or New Carrolton would have been a nice fit). Montgomery CO has other priorities. The schools are so overcrowded and that kids have class in horse trailers, I'm sorry "learning modules".

The only think keeping DC in DC is the fact that no other cities out there are bidding for them (Philly-Portland happened before the crash).

I go to school in Mont. County. My school isn't too overcrowded. There's an average of about 28-30 kids in a class which is perfect IMO. And I haven't heard of having class in trailers unless there is construction going on in the school or something.

But anyway, I hope they find an area in DC to build a new stadium.
