I haven't seen that in a while, but I do believe they did draw comparisons to the Bartman incident and the Red Sox Bill Buckner moment in that film.
Yep, that was it. The ball bobbled through his hands on first base(?) and he was slaughtered for it.

Excellent documentary.

The Cubs should have Bartman on the ticker tape parade!

Yup. Right under the glove on a slow roller. Lots of folks forget that it was game 6 and that the game had just been tied due to a wild pitch. The manager shouldn't have had him out there since his knees were shot

Can't remember another WS champion with so many good young players (maybe 2003 Marlins?). This isn't going to be the last WS appearance for this group.
It's almost hot stove time!

I met him once in London on an baseball publicity event. Very nice guy indeed.

I'm still reeling. Seriously. I think I mentioned this before, but my mother and her brother (my uncle) were through-and-through Cubs fans, seeing games in the 40s and 50s, and into their adulthood (though my mom didn't go much once she had me and my brothers and we moved out to the Chicago suburbs). Yet my mom and uncle lived their whole lives and didn't see the Cubs take the series. It's just crazy to me, and I don't mean to get all sentimental--but I guess I am--but oh how I wish they were around today to experience this. One hundred and eight years! Over and done.

Here's a favorite. Harry Caray's gravesite.

"Sure as God made green apples, someday, the Chicago Cubs are going to be in the World Series."

I've been a cub fan since abar 1997.

Spent a few months in Kokomo, IN and while trying to convert the locals to Everton, i learnt about the cubs.

Since then, i have followed via phones, internet, kodi, twitter and old school phone calls and channel 5,sky, Espn, bt and whoever else. I can honestly say last night was a close 2nd to psycho scoring the goal at norwich in 87.

Go Cubs Go
