A spiritual medium and psychic has claimed he used his “gift” to find Nicola Bulley’s body in the River Wyre on Sunday.
The mother-of-two was found, 23 days after she went missing, less than a mile from where she disappeared by two walkers who alerted the police.
Jason Rothwell, who describes himself as a “spiritual medium, psychic and tarot reader”, shared a post on Facebook and Instagram on Monday revealing he and a friend had found Ms Bulley’s body.
Mr Rothwell said he had in 2018 helped with the recovery of Michael Brooks, 19, who was found in the River Ribble in Penwortham, Lancashire, following a two week search.

Unfortunately it does happen, more than you can imagine. In our case I was asked to visit some chap in Coventry who said he had ‘information’. When I arrived at his house and explained who I was his wife looked completely embarrassed but invited me into their living room. The husband came in and proceeded to give me his view of what may have happened without any shred of evidence or knowledge, he just had a theory. I listened, thanked him and left. So that was four hours of driving and twenty minutes of listening completely wasted. It happens I’m afraid but you are terrified of missing any possibility….sad really……

I agree with you there mate on this point.
This case has reminded me of a very tragic case of a young lad in Belfast that disappeared a few years back.
The online true crime detectives, media circus, opportunism by psychics/mediums etc.
Everyone wants to be the one to find some evidence or crack the case for their 5 minutes of fame.
All while a family are suffering. Its sickening to see. Can only feel for the family at this time.

Yeah, can't imagine it is much fun being in that position. I'm sure the fella thought he was genuinely trying to help, but he really bloody wasn't. Torture for you.

Mackenzie Crooks 62 year old sister in law who is currently receiving chemotherapy has been missing since 14th feb. He has appealed for local people to help with the search.
Why is that not headline news? On bbc, it’s under the regional news page for Sussex.
I’m very cynical about the media and politics, but things (that happen fairly regularly) usually only hit the news when there’s a political aspect to it. (See Baby P which was politicised yet roughly 1 baby dies a week in the uk due to abuse/neglect).

Some one called into LBC stating the same case was shut down by the presenter does 10 pm slot in the week, anyway caller used the airtime and point to raise this young girl disappearance. Reckon most people have not heard a thing, I know I would not have had not been listening.

Exactly the point I’ve been making , people think they are interested in a story so the media report it .
