Ill be honest, i bet half of the people here moaning about McCarthy wouldnt moan if it was Moyes signing him, who might i add, also wanted too during his time here at Everton.

Agreed, I think he is a good player. Not fussed if we don't sign him and kept Fellaini instead but happy enough if he comes and there is money to get a striker in too.

Wasn't Michael Bradley touted as the Fellaini replacement under Moyes - think he plays at Wolfsburg or Hamburg or similar in Germany....anyone know?

Now I don't have the stats to hand but can any one post the stats up of just how Everton faired last season when Fellaini was out the side either through injury or suspension.
These stats will either prove or dismiss that Everton can play without Fellaini.

Fer was quality last season. Moyes also wanted Ojida Ofoe but he's been injured since.

I'd try for the big centre mid who played for Betis against us....played 20 I think.

He plays for Roma and according to his agent he's going nowhere

Of course he is.

I think people are, quite rightly, asking how

1- Acquiring for players who played for relegated Wigan last season is good business
2- We'd all be very surprised if we have 10m without the departure of Fellaini, so should we use his departure to fund a move for McCarthy? Where is the ''global market''? How does Wigan's spine of the team leave us ...."You never know what is going to happen but we are looking strong to finish the window in a stronger position than we were when it opened."... if we have sold one of our best players to fund these Wigan moves?

Another point of note. If Fellaini leaves, thats 20m minimum. If we spend 10m (cries) on McCarthy and ~6-7m on the other three, another -3m for the club. ''I'll give him a few bob''.... 'get you Champions League''...
